About Us

All members of The British CBT & Counselling Service (London, Richmond, Clapham London, Earls Court, Fulham, Nottingham, West Bridgford, Stamford) are Doctors of Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychologists or CBT Psychotherapists (MSc / Postgraduate Diploma). All Psychologists hold a practicing certificate with The British Psychological Society and are registered with The Health Professionals Council which monitors and regulates the practice of Psychologists. All CBT Psychotherapists are accredited to practice by The British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies. Our Psychologists have spent between seven and nine years training to enable people to overcome their emotional difficulties via CBT Counselling. In addition to practicing privately, many hold (or have recently held) senior positions in the NHS

Testimonials

"I have struggled with anxiety for years and tried many different things. I had CBT sessions in Richmond over the course of about a year and I now feel much, much better. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a problem". Katie ( Richmond)

"Feelings of anxiety will always be part of a busy lifestyle, but in my experience, having a strong CBT counsellor to help get those harsher aspects is essential. This is what I have achieved with Dr Green over 20 sessions and will continue to build on. Being local in Clapham helps take the edge off going to therapy". Rebecca (Clapham London)

"I've been having CBT therapy with The British CBT & Counselling Service for about 9 months and it has made such a difference. I struggled for years with an eating disorder and depression and I really feel like I've got my life back. The clinic in Fulham fitted in well with the long hours I work and it felt more supportive that other types of counselling I have tried. The Psychologist was great too. I am so glad that I tried this approach and would recommend it to anyone who needs counselling to sort out a problem". Lizzie ( Fulham)

“I tried a few different types of counselling before I tried CBT. Within a few weeks of starting I had regained my sense of hope, within a few months I was feeling significantly better. A year later I am free of the anxiety and depression that has plagued me for years and confident that I can manage anything that life throws at me” Richard ( Richmond)

"I had been feeling quite desperate before starting therapy and hadn't really been sure of how effective it would be for me. I've had problems with obsessive thoughts since being very young and had found ways of at least coping with them which meant I could function on an apparently normal level. When we found out that I was pregnant I just felt that I had to at least try getting some help and have been amazed by how much difference it has made to me and my partner. I honestly feel one hundred times better. Thank you so much for your help" Jane (Richmond).

"Without the help I got from you I'd still be stuck in my old life and old job....it was professional and uplifting" (Fulham)

"Our son was under a lot of pressure from his exams and was becoming withdrawn. He had about 8 sessions with a very friendly and helpful Counselor who skillfully worked through his anxieties in a way which suited his personality. We were impressed with how adeptly she grasped the core issues" Nottingham)
